The Community Experience Program (CEP) encourages and promotes individualized connections to community agency resources. This allows participants to enjoy their interests and volunteer their services. CEP assists individuals with developmental disabilities to achieve social skills, personal growth and independence. These experiences, attained skills and exposure can lead to individualized work opportunities.

Program participants volunteer their time working and assisting at numerous businesses, facilities and agencies.

Group Supported Employment - (GSE)

Group Supported Employment is a work team consisting of a small group of individuals sharing job responsibilities at an employment site. This program is unique in that a trained staff member remains on the job site permanently to oversee the group.

A major benefit of this program, to the employer, is that CVS assumes the entire payroll expenses, insurance and worker's compensation coverage for our workers.

Supported Employment

Supported Employment enables people with disabilities to work and contribute to society. This type of employment focuses on a person's abilities and provides the ongoing supports the individual needs to be successful on a long-term basis as well as an initial induction into the workplace and its culture.

Ongoing support is provided to assist each person to acquire and keep a job to the employer's satisfaction. This support is not time limited and includes assistance for on-site job or social training, job supervision, performance monitoring, assistance for job advancement or job change advocacy.
